Semester Drop

If a student cannot continue a semester for any reason, he/she can drop the semester.

  • Semester drop fees are half of admission fees
  • Students have to apply for semester drop prior to registration of that semester
  • Application must be submitted to the department with proper justification

Absence in Mid Exam

  • It's mandatory for all students to sit in midterm exam
  • If any students fail to attend mid exam, there is chance to sit in recovery mid exam
  • Charge for recovery mid exam: BDT 300 per subject (not exceeding BDT 1200)
  • If fails to sit in recovery midterm exam, student must retake that subject with junior batch
  • There are no chances to sit only for mid exam with junior batches
  • Obtaining full mark in final exam does not exempt students from mid exam requirement

Absence in Final Exam

  • It's mandatory for all students to sit in Final exam
  • If any students fail to attend final exam, there is chance to sit in Supplementary final exam
  • Charge for supplementary final exam: BDT 500 per subject (not exceeding BDT 2000)
  • If fails supplementary final exam, student may attend that subject with junior batch (but not for more than half of the credits that semester)
  • To promote to next semester, students must complete at least half of the credits of current semester
  • Otherwise can't promote to next semester - must complete current semester first

Grievance Policy

The Grievance Cell looks into complaints lodged by students and judges their merit. The cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment.

How to Lodge a Complaint

  • Approach department members in person
  • Drop written grievances in suggestion box at First Floor of Building 1
  • Send email to officer in-charge of Students' Grievance Cell

Objectives

  • Maintain harmonious educational atmosphere
  • Allow students to express grievances freely without fear
  • Ensure respectful relationships between students and faculty
  • Prohibit ragging in any form

Scope

  • Academic matters (mark sheets, certificates, transfers)
  • Financial matters (dues and payments)
  • Other matters (sanitation, harassment)

Functions

  • Prompt attention to written grievances
  • Review cases and act according to management policy
  • Report to authorities about cases

Mark Sheet

  • Students can withdraw Provisional/Temporary Mark sheet after publishing their result of that semester
  • Final Mark sheet will be provided only after completing your Program
  • Generally takes 4 working days to issue Duplicate/Temporary Mark Sheet after receiving application
  • Contact your department for mark sheets
  • Fees apply for both Provisional and final mark sheets

Certificate

  • Provisional Certificate is awarded after completing all courses of the program
  • Main Certificate is given through convocation only

Testimonial

  • Students can apply for Testimonial after completing application process
  • Register office issues Testimonial within 2 working days
